Happy October, Happy Halloween Swap!

What better way to start the month than with a Halloween swap reveal! In this swap we altered a large matchbox and filled it with Halloween goodies. Additionally we created at least two handmade Halloween treats!
I must have taken at least a couple dozen pictures to try and capture this box and sadly this was the best I could do. I used a black dresden trim window, embellishing the panes with faux black rhinestone trim.
In the window sits a beautiful young witch with an owl on her hat. Behind them is a spider web background and the web shimmers with tiny bling chips.
The curtains are made from a beautiful piece of antique black lace. I topped off the window with a vintage beaded embellishment.
The sides are trimmed with black dresden,
and the end embellished with a beaded flower.

Everyone is in need of some Black Hat Hex Remover this time of year!
I found the perfect label from Altered Artifacts...
I recently purchased this very old bottle at an estate sale and filled it with hex remover tablets, aka glass pearls. (Thank you Debi for this great idea!)
Using more Altered Artifacts collage sheet labels I packaged some spotted guinea feathers and fun Halloween fibers.
My final label for Graveyard Dust was just what I needed for this salt shaker of black glitter.

I haven't made a domino book for quite some time but my partner loves witches so I had to put my Moonlight Journey collage sheet to work
to create a book full of beautiful witches.

It's simply not Halloween without a festive skelly,
and this guy's ready to party!

I made the crow cabochon with the image printed on fabric and cut to fit the black filigree backing.

I've been into making ornaments this year to decorate my feather tree but of course made a couple to share.
This was really easy and one of my favorites. I bought an inexpensive bag of skeleton hands and wrapped them with black lace trim and a seam binding hanger.

Chenille bump and tinsel stems can transform any image into an ornament.

My partner, Susan loves owls and crows (me too!). So I dug into my basket of spools and made a
spoolie, complete with owl,
and topped this spool of skeleton ribbon with a mini crow. I just had to give him a top hat!

I altered some dominos tarot cat style.

I've been into making stickpins lately and came up with this guy to use with the hand-stamped bat
trim.
I'm not even sure what type of nut(?) is in this bag but I bought it because it was autumny and perfect to hang a witches broom on..lol!

Happy Halloween to Susan!
Her swap was delivered today. Hope it tugs at her Halloween heart!
I'll be sure to share what I receive from Susan when it arrives.

There's still a lot more Halloween to come but I have posted the final two swaps of 2012 HERE,
 both holiday themed.
Hope to be swapping with you soon!
