Oh Christmas Trees....

Sharing a few more glimpses of my holiday home
my hallway greeter and her tree

no trees here (unless you count the topiary!), my "always changing with the seasons" silver tray

also always changing with the seasons is my lady, decked out with her pink Santa hat and pearls

my pretty snowlady (check out the little victorian vignette in front of her)

the big tree that holds generations of ornament memories

the antique ornaments get a special place, all their own

even the harp gets a holiday makeover

The white tree is a new addition this year. I wanted a special place to display the beautiful handmade ornaments swapped with my special blog friends.

In celebration of our first snowfall of the season (late this year for those of us in the Buffalo area!)....

Is There Any Ornament as Pretty as a Handmade Ornament?

I don't think so!
Cassandra hosted a handmade ornament swap placing us in groups of four and what a wonderful group it was!

I received a trio of these amazing and exquisitely crafted fabric stars from Linda.


And Mercedes spoiled me with this gorgeous angel


and soft, warm stocking (complete with sparkly wand!)


and a heart that captured my heart with it's vintage charm.


I have long admired the sweet bottlebrush trees all over blogland. So I bleached and glittered then adorned with vintage tattered pearls and wired pink ribbon and gave each a tulle treeskirt to create these for my partners.


Chipboard doves I altered with scrapbook paper, inked and embellished.


And my snowflakes hopefully capture the simple time of Christmas past with sweet vintage images edged in lace and pearls.
