A Midsummer Night's Dream Reveal

Okay, so it really doesn't have a thing to do with one of Shakespeare's most beloved works. The idea was to alter a matchbox and fill it with treasures that capture the feel of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
I had such fun delighting in the details...

lots of shimmering tulle, butterflies, dragonflies, lush flowers and bling...

the perfect paper to complement...

and the inside treasures needed to be magical and ethereal, right down to the bottle of faerie dust and vintage flower-topped spool of blue lace.

There were touches and retouches (and a little bit of a desire to keep this one, truth be told).

But my little box has found a new home with Linda in North Dakota.
I hope you love it Linda and I'll be certain to share yours when it arrives!

It Was A Happy Mail Day

My friend Linda was celebrating the launch of her very first children's e-book and her 200th post with a giveaway, and I was one of her lucky winners. I love this candle and Linda's gorgeous fairy and butterfly tag now graces a branch of my always evolving, inspirational feather tree.

And this luscious matchbox loaded with decadent treasures is from my lovely swap partner, Mercedes.
We provided our partner with a list of likes and the challenge was to create and fill a matchbox using the list as a guideline.
Mercedes, this is a treasure above and beyond my expectations!

A big hug of gratitude to both of my talented & generous blog friends!

More Estate Sale Finds

I'm so pleased with my recent finds....
I love collecting the old mirrored vanity trays. I have them tucked all over holding little vignettes, and like snowflakes, no two are exactly the same!
The sweet picture frame, antique pouches and vintage handkerchiefs were all wonderful finds but that little lacy dress complete with veil on a miniature wooden stand is very special.
(You need to enlarge to truly appreciate.)

I had deemed it the find of the day until this little darling caught my eye.
It really had been a long time since I added to the doll collection.....

Here Comes The Bride

Appropriately our June theme for the monthly vintage gluebook page swap at
blissfullARTswaps.
I used this beautiful victorian bride as my focal point, collaged on a stunning victorian marriage certificate.
I am so enjoying the blending of colors and images, the relaxation of gluebooking.
